Ridiculous amount of work for a very average cake. Would never make this again.

It's similiar to an easier recipe I make. I'd call it a pineapple trio delight!

I followed this recipe to a T, and wondered about it not calling for any rising agent. Well, it was more of a sweet quiche, actually it was custard like. Also, in the instructions, there is a discrepancy. The sugar amounts are from the ingredient list. this needs to be tested again. Also, is the flour amount correct. It just didn't work. However the flavor was good and the creme anglaise was really good.
