This was the best french toast I've ever made...It was very flavorful and it didn't even need the maple syrup. I used coconut extract instead of vanilla extract just for something different. I also had a french baguette so the pieces were smaller, but still perfect. This will be our go-to french toast recipe.

French toast turned out great! I researched most all of the Food Network chef's French Toast recipes and Robert's was the most simple, quick and knew it would be delicious and turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Thank you Robert! BTW, I love your show Restaurant Impossible! You are one great chef and an excellent restaurant executive! Keep up the good work!

This recipe was very good! I used Italian bread instead of what is in the recipe and worked very well. Super easy..I love it when recipes don't require alot of ingredients or much work! Love french toast~

Also just used two eggs instead of 4..turned out just fine.

    Awesome!
