Yummy!!!! I poured the mixed batter into a large zip lock bag, cut one of the edges and poured batter into the fryer. I also used chop sticks to flip the batter over. It so much fun to make. :

It turns out that I'm really bad at making funnel cakes. I have to learn how to make a design that will stick together, and to move the funnel quickly enough not to make big blobs. Ah, well, this recipe is very forgiving. Even though my funnel cakes didn't have much visual appeal, they were incredibly scrumptious! Since I need to improve my technique, I have the perfect excuse for making this recipe over and over again, and believe me, I plan to. YUM!

Although this recipe isn't at the top of the list when you search, this is the exact same recipe as the ones you buy at the fair. My family was planning to go to the church carnival by our house, but it started pouring rain! We were looking forward to the funnel cakes they sell more than anything, so I decided to make these and boy did I impress everybody!
