I don't normally like green bean casserole, just make it for my family. But this one, with the addition of the diced tomato's was a winner. I made it for Thanksgiving and it was the hit of the meal, looking forward to making it again today.

Just delightful! The addition of tomato added a new dimension to the old tradition. It's a Thanksgiving keeper!

I love Robert and I love this dish. It's a traditional green bean casserole, but better tasting and looking. The tomato garnish adds nice color to the dish.

Very creamy and tasty. I also added real mushrooms to it.

I am thinking about making this dish and was wondering if anyone tried putting sliced almonds on top, didn't know how it would go with the tomatoes in it, if anyone has any feedback on this please share

I have made this two years in a row and everyone loves it and gets seconds and thirds. I did cut the recipe in half because we don't have that many people over, but it still comes out delicious!

Last Thanksgiving saw this recipe, and it looked good. I didn't follow a few things, I mean, somethings were a bit much. Like I only add about 2 or 3 CANS of haricots, 1 onion, and 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup. No tomatoes. It is simpler and cheaper. Oh, and 1 or 2 cans of French Fried Onions. When I served it up my entire family gobbled it down within 10 minutes and looked for more! Try it, I like my way, his way is good too.

Made this for dinner with 12 family members and everyone enjoyed it. Even my sister-in-law, who helped prepare it and was hesitant about the tomatoes, liked it a lot. It was easy to prepare and we will have it again this Thanksgiving!
