1st time making leek-potato soup. This definitely had good, if subtle flavor. Added a tiny pinch of nutmeg to give it a boost (nutmeg + cream are a natural together.

I'd consider sauteing some of the leek (green tops as well; they would make the soup green(er but when cooked down in butter they have a really nice nutty flavor.

I would certainly make this again, my girlfriend really liked it, as did I.

Turned out wonderfully. I used soy milk instead of heavy cream and a little bit less chicken stock and butter and the consistency was perfect. I also garnished it with French Fried Onions (the ones people put on green bean casseroles. Yummy and heart-warming comfort food!

I cut the broth cubes down to 6 for 8 cups of water. I used dried thyme instead of fresh and I will cut down in dried thyme to 1 teaspoon or use the 1.5 teaspoons fresh.
I added no salt and used 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper, this I would reduce to 1/4 teaspoon.
I like to garnish it with shredded cheddar cheese.

The only problem I had was it made way to much! I would say cut this recipe in half.

Ok first i would probably give this recipe a 3.5 but there is no 3.5 :. IT was good but not awesome i wouldn't say. First of all its hard to follow "6 potatoes"? How big are the potatoes? I used two very large baking potatoes. I used half-n-half to make it a "little" lighter. I also made homemade chicken stock for this recipe so why throw away the chicken right? So at the very end i added the cooked chicken. It was very smooth and creamy i guess these "creamy" soups are just not my favorite.

This simple, creamy, and delicious soup was quickly prepared.

It has a great balance of texture, taste, and appeal for a warm summer lunch

    Thank you Chef Irvine

Given that I'm no chef, and this is only the second potato and leek soup recipe that I've tried, I thought the soup turned out pretty good. My wife ate it, and since she's no onion (or cousins fan, I figure that's good enough. Mine came out a little thick, but I'm pretty sure that was just me. :
