My friends in the UK are amazed at this way of cooking chicken. But, the flavor and the juiciness is the best. I won't barbecue chicken any other way. And this is the best beer can recipe, period

This chicken was absolutely delicious and can't wait to make it again. My family LOVED this chicken..so moist and flavorful.

My husband said this is the best chicken I have ever made! Friends and family say I'm a very good cook. I have made lots of great chicken dishes over the years so for my husband to say it's the best is saying a lot. I loved the rub. Made a double recipe of that to save time when I make this dish again on the 4th of July when company visits. Couldn't find Sam Adams in cans so I used Santa Fe Brewery Pilsner and the flavor was great. I too poured the rest of the beer into the pie plate. Be careful when you put the spice rub into the beer can--it foamed up quite a bit and made quite a mess on my counter! This is a great recipe.

Absolutely fantastic. I used Guinness (I couldn't find it in a can, so used a coke can and poured it in and then poured more beer in the pan. Super juicy and full of flavor. That rub is fantastic and the honey was a really nice touch.

My experience has been to always use a dark ale or beer, has lots more flavor. Also, if the chicken is too dry as some have said for Beer Chicken recipes, take all of the spice mixes and fold them into a cup of mayonnaise (if you like a little spiciness, use DUKE's if you can find it, its primarily in the Southern States, mix well and use that to smear the chicken inside and out before cooking over the beer. You'll love it.

Great chicken/rub! Next time I'll increase the butter mix and inject it also.

Have made this a couple of times before, but made this 4th of July weekend at a friends house. They could not stop raving about how juicy and delicious it was, the blend of flavors is remarkable. This time I used a smoked paprika rather than regular, I really think that made the difference.

Confused on the episode and the recipe. During the episode she use Oskar Blues Old Chub, and the recipe says Sam Adams White Ale. That's a big difference in styles and vessels. Sam Adams doesn't come in cans. Food network needs to review the recipes a bit better
