This was easy and quick to make. I chose to sift a combination of the cocoa powder and the powdered sugar as a topping after the pie cooled a bit. Next time I make this pie, I will try topping it with berries and whipped cream. There are other buttermilk pie recipes on the food network that looked good and I will try them but this looked like the easiest so far.
Thanks Robin

Definitely cut down on the sugar by at least 1/3 of a cup if not more. It has nice flavor but is just too sweet.

It just didn't do anything for me. I thought it was a little bland

1 1/3 cups of sugar makes it way too sweet. I'd go with less than a cup, maybe 3/4.

Can I just tell you that this is the easiest and most fabulous dessert recipe! I make it often for guests and they always want more! I top it with lite cool whip and fresh berries (whatever is in season. I love this recipe!

The first time I made it I used the amount of sugar called for. My family thought it was too sweet. I've experimented four times now and have decided that 3/4 cup of sugar is more than enough. It was really good and so quick to make.

This recipe was a God-send. I completely forgot I had to make a pie for my church lunch until that morning. I quickly chose this recipe and it came out fabulous and everyone loved it! :-

This came from a recipe booklet Bisquick published several years. It was good then and it is good now.

I just saw this prepared on Robin Mitchell's show and had to check the recipe immediately as it sounded very familiar. Sure enough, with the exception of the sugar amount (Robin 1 1/3 cup sugar and Paula 1 1/2 cup sugar preparation in a blender vs. using a handheld mixer and Robin's dusting of chocolate, the recipes are identical! I rated Paula's Olivia's a 5 star, so believe it also appropriate here.
