I first made this for one of my sons when he was home and brought a friend to dinner. I now make it all the time. Being diabetic, I substituted Splenda and sometimes add raisins in place of cranberries, but have also used frozen blueberries. Walmuts are nice with the raisins as is a dash of cinnamon. Good recipe, Robin!

I made this dessert with my 3 and 4 year old kids. They helped slice the apples (plastic knives!. To make it a bit better, we added brown sugar, cinnamin, nutmeg and a little butter - the kids helped with everthing and were so proud to eat it at dessert time! Delish!

I am pie-challenged - have made only one acceptable pie in my lifetime, even with store-bought crusts. I made this, and it was beautiful!!! And, it tasted great - not overwhelmingly sweet. Thank you for giving me one I could actually do!

This was a great method for making a super quick apple pie type of dessert. It needed to be baked for at least 35 minutes, and I added a tablespoon of brown sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a little freshly ground nutmeg. I also dotted the inside with some butter. It was awesome! My whole family loved it. If Robin Miller added these extras, cooked it longer, and sprinkled the crust with some sugar, this would definitely be a 5-star recipe. It's a keeper!

This galette was not cooked if you used the apple slices as thick as were shown on the show. The crust was not suitably brown and it really looked pastey. It could have used an egg wash or heavy cream with some sugar crystals. Also, to cook in 20 minutes, the apples should have been sliced thinner. A larger, thinner galette would have been prettier too.

I made this for 4th of July, and although it was good, next time I will use pippin apples and golden raisins to cut down the tartness, and use some brown sugar as well. I also egg washed the outer crust and sprinkled it with some sugar.
