Baked the fish as per recipe... not good at all! Batter is doughy and tasteless. Not worth the effort.

The potatoes were better than the fish. The batter didn't get crispy - it was doughy even though I kept the fish in the oven for extra time - and I used a convection oven! It wasn't bad - just not very good.

Worst recipe ever! I even added 1/4 c. extra milk and 1 extra egg along with salt, pepper and paprika to flour mixture. Fish ended up smothered in a pancake like batter and didn't get crispy or brown. Scraped off batter and had to be creative to save dinner!

I would have given this no stars if able. There's something wrong with the batter recipe. It's so thick, like pancake batter. I tried to fix it by adding milk; no go. It was just way too much flour.

If you end up stuck like I was, you could try what I did: I dipped the fish in milk, then coated them in Italian breadcrumbs. I baked them in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. It was delicious! Good luck!

I really enjoyed the concept of the baked fish and chips recipe. It was very quick and easy. I was, on the other hand, a bit disappointed with the batter portion of the recipe. But again the concept of quick and easy and variety really helps when you are a stay at home dad who needs simplicity.

I skipped making the sauce, but the fish and potatoes were delicious. I turned the potatoes halfway through to prevent sticking. Also, I was out of flour so I used corn meal instead, but the batter was fine and the cod still turned out golden, puffed-up, and delicious.

I think maybe fish and chips just have to be fried...The batter wasn't crispy and it never did brown. I will take the fat and calories thank-you very much.

Listen this recipe as a healthy alternative to the real thing has a little promise, add another 1/4 cup milk will thin the batter 2 eggs would do the same and also will help the batter brown easier.... if you cut the fish into pieces like a nugget and bake it the same it will be much easier to eat (without all of the batter falling off. Clearly this is a base recipe be creative i Cajun seasoned my cod first and then battered it it gave it a bit of bite instead of a honey vinaggarette i made a spicy tartar sauce by adding some horse radish to it. easy as pie bon apetite.
