I haven't cooked lasagna in years so to make it tonight was a pleasure. For the 3lbs of beef or turkey I used 2 lbs of beef and 1 lb of the mild sausage. Used 1 tsp of red pepper flakes and added lots more cheese over the top. I don't add much salt to anything and noticing that the recipe didn't call for salt I thought I would try it. I believe a tad of salt would add more flavor but other than that it was very tasty....

So I decided to "halve" the recipe since I had only 9 lasagna noodles and did not want a bunch of extra sauce. I halved everything except I used 1 lb of ground beef, 1 can of tomatoes, 1 whole 14oz jar of sauce, a little extra mozz (maybe 5 or 6 oz, and almost a whole egg. I just eye-balled the sauce when I was putting it on the noodles. I had some leftover for later use (probably 1.5 cups. It turned out perfect and saucy. However, I would agree on added extra spices next time, but it was still delicious.

I loved the tip of not having to cook the noodles ahead of time: and the noodles came out perfectly tender. The meat sauce was a little runnier that I liked though.

This was my first time making lasagna. It will definetly be a dish we do againg. I used half hamburger half italian sausage. It made enough for 10 adults in a 9x13 pan.

This recipe is fantastic! Easy to do and great tasting! My wife, who is not a huge fan of Lasagna, loved it. I'll make it again. Great comfort food.

I cooked the noodles and added some extra spice to the sauce (salt, parsley, garlic powder, seasoned salt, more oregano and it really improved the taste.

I'm new at cooking and this was my first time making Lasagna, after going through many recipes I found this one. I first read all the reviews and did what everyone else said was needed. Took out one cup of ricotta, and added a sprinkle more seasoning, used one giant onion, and added one extra clove of garlic. I also didn't need so much extra sauce so I took out one can of diced tomato..
I also double it so got x2 amount of stuff needed under the lasagna part. Didn't have any extra sauce, although the lasagna did drip a little when cooking in the oven.
I thought it came out great!! It wasn't to saucy, and I'm a giant garlic fan so I could of even added one more little bit of garlic. There was a little something missing which is why I gave it 4 stars. But it was really easy to make and everyone did love it! I'm glad I added the extra seasoning and REALLY glad I read everyone's comments on this recipe.
