This was an excellent recipe. This was my very first time using a slow cooker since I am a newlywed. I found it a very easy and thorough recipe. I decided to add regular red potatoes, small onions, mushrooms and carrots and of course celery. My husband doesn't really enjoy roast but found this first timer a winner!!!
very pleased!!!

I had reservations about using the sweet root veggies with a tomato sauce but this was such a great recipe that I will use it over and over. The flavors are perfect together.

This was a terrific meal. I used white potatoes and carrots instead of sweet potatoes. It was delicious!

It seemed like a lot of meat but it actually shrinks so use full amount. This came out great and very tasty. I didn't use maple syrup but honey and bbq sauce instead. Super easy will definetly try again

My husband prepared this meal for us and it turned out delicious. He said he faithfully followed the recipe and it took him less than 15 min to get everything ready. He prepared it the night before, left it on the refrigerator and put it on the slow cooker the next morning on low. We will definitely do it again. All the vegetables did taste the same so next time we might subtitute.

This is now a family favorite! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I used potatoes and carrots because I had it on hand and also put a couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce in it. I didn't salt and pepper the roast enough so it was initially a bit bland but i just added it in at the end and it tasted SPECTACULAR!

The best I have ever had. I made it for company and they all loved it. I can't wait to make the Empanadas next. Thanks Robin!!!
