Ingredients

3 pounds ground turkey breast*

1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

4 (1-inch) chunks blue cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 hamburger rolls (preferably whole-grain)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine turkey and poultry seasoning. Mix well to combine. Shape mixture into 12 patties, each about 1 inch thick. Press blue cheese into the center of 4 of the patties, covering cheese with turkey. Heat oil in a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add turkey burgers and cook 4 to 6 minutes per side, until cooked through. Serve the cheese-stuffed burgers with this meal and refrigerate remaining burgers until ready to use. Serve burgers on rolls.;

Cook’s Note

*this will make enough turkey burgers for 3 meals or 12 servings. Use 1 pound meat and 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning if only making this recipe.

Pretty yummy! I think I might prefer to disperse the blue cheese a bit, it is delish but there are one or two bites that are very strong with the blue cheese. Maybe I’ll try crumbling the cheese throughout the patty mixture next time. Very quick, easy and tasty!
