I've made this recipe a number of times, I've altered its ingredients as well, but every time, this dish comes out beyond delicious. It's a great idea for leftover meat sitting in your fridge. Love it!

I made this last night and backed off the amount of liquid smoke, but added some extra hot sauce to give it more of a kick. I think it was definitely a good combo. My only problem was that I could not get the dough to roll out evenly so it was very thin in the middle, which caused that part of the crust to be a bit soggy...still tasted good though!!

I just finished eating this recipe, and it was good. I did look at all the suggestions in the reviews and did with everyone was saying like layering the ingredients and using buffalo chicken sauce already made. I used pillsbury dough for the outside of the calzone and brushed the butter and sprinkled parmasean, it made it look like the restaurant kind. The blue cheese dip was good, but it tasted better on our salad than with the calzone. The calzone was good enough on its own. Pretty cool recipe that was easy. I think I will try more of Robin Miller's recipes now.

I made this once. Big mistake. It tastes nothing like buffalo sauce. The liquid smoke totally over powers the whole thing. The blue cheese recipe is no good either. I would suggest not to try this recipe.

I don't mind incorporating new flavors into a traditional calzone, but at least prepare it like a calzone. This is litle more than a turnover. This would be much better if instead of just mixing the cheese, sauce and chicken all together, you should layer the 3 ingredients in the calzone. This would be much better. as well as more in keeping with what a calzone is.

You don't want to use raw chicken. There is not enough cooking time for the Calzone for raw chicken to cook!
