I had high hopes for this as I love Chai Tea. This recipe just didn't measure up. I ended up using a whole carton of yogurt as well as some splenda and it still just tasted like spices in water. To alter the recipe I added a commercial dry Chai mix in place of the spices, used a whole carton of yogurt instead of the 1/4 cup, and added sweetener to taste and it turned out much better. Thank goodness I had the spices on hand for the original recipe, unlike another reviwer.

I usually order this type of thing from the local Panera's and this sounds like it could make my taste buds tingle. I think everyone needs to shut their trap about Mrs. Miller opening a blender. What I don't understand, though is why the camera
man ZOOMED UP into her face as she made the mistake and didn't cut it off.

Love Chai Tea and was excited about this recipe, ran out and purchased $30+ in spices plus tea, plus yogurt. What a waste!

I'll give it a 4 star although I haven't tried the smoothie yet, I will later today. If it doesn't cut it, I'll revise my rating. As I was checking out the reviews, many people commented on the blender oops. I liked the fact they didn't edit the blender oops. Believe it or not, some people don't know you shouldn't lift a lid on a blender in motion. Don't believe me? Just watch other cookshows. It just goes to show that Robin Miller is a regular person with a busy life like the rest of us.

Is it really necessary to degrade and name-call instead of rating the recipe? I saw nothing wrong with her natural reaction to a splatter. She's real people and her recipes are worth trying. I liked the Chai tea smoothie.
