I recommend 1reheating the steak with Pam or just on a good skillet with out any oil 2 doubling up on the cheese 3 using water on the tip of the egg roll at the end to seal it and 4using a non-stick pan for baking without oil/Pam. Also we had added a sauce called "Ponzu" on the side (its citus based. The sauce really took this dish up a notch.

the filling for the rolls was good. the only spring roll wrappers i could find were the round hard ones and there weren't any directions on how to get them soft so you could fold them without breaking. so i wet them a little and they folded up great. i think i steered wrong when i double wrapped them though cuz the wrappers were breaking with just one layer. they came out tough. other than that they were ok. still like the sandwich itself better.

This was so good!! Working with spring roll paper is a real pain but it was worth it. If you can't find spring roll paper, the steak prepared in the bourbon and beef broth with onions and provolone is a great meal all by itself.

These were super easy and very tasty. I will use a little more cheese and scale back on the olive oil for reheating the meat next time. My husband polished off 2 of the 4 servings before I even got to the table and said that I better make them again. This ones a winner.

I was a little weary of trying this, but it was fantastic! I only baked them about 13 minutes and they were golden and crunchy. In the episode Robin added olive oil when reheating the onion and steak, in the recipe it just called for cooking spray (which is what I used and it was not at all oily. Great way to use leftover steak!

i saw this and thought it would perfectly fit the bill for my daughters gathering. unfortunately, the wraps did not crisp and actually were mushy and oily. maybe i did something wrong - and i will try again - but usually i follow recipes pretty closely.
