This was a great cream sauce. I seasoned the chicken with garlic pepper and old bay and cooked it first. Then added the EVOO and garlic and onion to the bits and added the chicken back in. I also used whole wheat pasta instead of the rice and it was wonderful!

Can't wait to try it again :-

This was great. I took the suggestion and added 8oz chopped mushrooms when I sauteed the shallots and garlic, didn't have bay leaves or chives but it was very flavorful anyway. I added some solid chic base instead if salt. It added great flavor to the sauce.

I made this easy chicken dish for dinner tonight with much success! I used 1 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup fat-free half and half to try to reduce the fat some. Next time I will probably try it with mostly the half and half. Because some people thought the chicken wasn't flavorful enough, I moved adding the salt and pepper to the step where I added the thyme and bay leaves. We found the dish to be very flavorful. Everyone including my young children ate a good portion. The amount the recipe made was sufficient for two adults and three children with another serving leftover. I served the chicken over long-grain brown rice. I will definitely make this recipe again!

Our whole family loved this one. Even my very very very picky 3 year old who 1 cleaned her plate, 2 asked for seconds, and then 3 asked me to make it again. I'm still in shock. This has never happened before! As the previous reviewers suggested, I used white wine to deglaze the pan and I added mushrooms and peas to the sauce. It was wonderful. Thanks Robin!

So easy.. didnt use rice. had pasta so i used that instead of rice. I used an onion finely chopped instead of shallot and used 1/2 and 1/2 instead of milk cause i had none in the house. I read other reviews 1st then I added more salt and also added galic powder!! was amazing and my family couldnt get enough. I also doubled this receipe to feed 4. ENJOY.. THIS IS A KEEPER.. THANKS ROBIN

Excellant chicken dish that can be used over rice or noodles. Suggested additions: deglaze pan with white wine, add about 6 sliced mushrooms.

This recipe was yummy. I served it with Bow Tie pasta. I added garlic salt, a bit of garlic powder and two boullion cubes with a little extra heavy cream to extend the sauce. To keep the pasta saucy, I only used approx 3/4 of a pound of Bow Tie pasta. This recipe does not go very far, approx 3 full size servings so if you are serving a full family you will want to double the recipe

    Definetly a recipe to try.

We fight over the leftovers for the next day's lunch.
I replaced the shallots with onions and the heavy cream with half and half because that's what I keep on hand.

Instead of shallots and Chives, I used chopped onions and it was very tasty. I also used orzo instead of rice so the sauce wasn't totally absorbed.
