My Grandson says we must have at least once a week, it's great.

Judging by previous reviews, you'll either love or hate this recipe.... I hated it :! Since when were crushed tomatoes the main ingredient in a traditional chicken pot pie? The filling turned out more like a chicken, tomato pasta sauce... DON'T WASTE YOUR GROCERIES THE WAY I ENDED UP DOING.

I just made this for our dinner tonight and it was excellent! O.k. here's the deal...yes, it takes awhile to do the chopping/prep work and I substituted some things, but this one's a keeper, trust me! I just chopped 2 breasts instead of 4, DO NOT do the tomato thing...very unappealing when I read that. Instead, add 1/2 - 3/4 C. reduced fat sour cream. Use about a cup of super sweet frozen corn. Also, I do recommend using the cresent rolls instead of pie crust as suggested below. Yea, it's fattening, but this is chicken pot pie! I'm pretty thin, but couldn't resist a second bowl!

My family liked the recipe, but I left out the tomatoes, and it tasted great without them. My husband wanted to eat the filling before I even got it in the casserole dish to bake it!
We will be making this pot pie for a long time to come.
    Thanks, Robin

I thought this was going to be quick! I will make again but not without a few needed changes. I will DEFINITLEY pre cook the potatoes, carrots and celery. I may also use sweet potato instead of the white. The stew never really thickened for my taste, so I added 3-4 tsp of corn starch. Next time I will shred some of the chicken after it's cooked to add texture. Overall, it was worth the work. It was very tasty, the kids liked it too!

This was a very easy one pot wonder. I added more carrots & celery than called for, and more chicken. I would also put a pie crust on the bottom next time. It is a keeper!

I thought this dish was very bland. I didn't care for the red sauce at all. I thought the recipe took alot of prep and ingredients with poor results.

Although time consuming with chopping the vegetables, it is very good and a wonderful comfort food meal. It took me an hour to make from start to finish but I probably chopped my veggies larger than called for.

Very good! Please and even fills a house full of teenage boys. I add a crust on the bottom as well.
