So this was an easy recipe but the stuffing wasn't anygood at all. The hens were however very juicy and tender. Don't think I'll be making this again.

We loved this recipe. I don't normally care for sun dried tomatos but they really added great flavor. I chose to use the packaged sun dried tomatoes that I softened in boiling broth to lower the fat content and included fresh chopped basil because I needed to use up what I had. Other than that I was true to the recipe. Both my husband and I managed to put away almost entire hen to ourselves. Stuffed and happy tonight.

A very tasty and easy to manage recipe. I added 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms to the stuffing because my family loves mushrooms. This way we had extra to go with the leftover hen the next night. (There's only 3 of us. I also took some of the left over drippings/broth and made an excellent gravy for potatoes. Thank-you for making this so easy and delicious.

Pat from New Jersey, if you have nothing else better to do than to criticize a really good recipe and a good cook, GET A LIFE! This recipe is so good, I've been doing it every time cornish hens go on sale. This is definitely a keeper and my family just loves it, in fact, I'm doing it again for the nth time this weekend. It's so delicious!

    Pat from New Jersey,

Are you retarded? Do they honestly need to lay this out for you step by step. WASHING YOUR HANDS IS A GIVEN WHEN DEALING WITH CHICKEN. Also, why would they need to cook the stuffing up to 165 degrees? THE STUFFING IS ALREADY COOKED! Maybe you should think before you write something negative about a really good recipe that is easy to make. Get your facts staight. Overall, the recipe is really easy to make and tastes great.

Just made this dish tonight and I have to say that this was just up my alley. It was easy to make and so delicious. My whole family enjoyed this recipe from the hens and rice to the snow peas and cranberry sauce. The rice was so good that I might make more of it next time. I had to cook it a bit longer than 1 hour - it took 1.5 hrs to cook, but it was worth it.

WHERE ARE YOU FOOD NETWORK? HOW CAN YOU LET THIS GO. SHE SHOULD HAVE WASHED THE HENS,HER HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING ELSE. ALSO TO PUT THE STUFFING INTO THE HENS AND NOT MAKING SURE THE STUFFING COMES UP TO 165DEGREES IS A SERIOUS MISTAKE THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE PICKED UP. THANKS GOODNESS SHE IS FEEDING THIS ONLY TO HER PARENTS. PLUS HER RECIPES ARE A WASTE OF TIME. NO IMAGINATION AND NO TASTE. INSTRUCT HER OR GET HER OFF THE AIR BEFORE SHE MAKES SOMEONE SICK!

My first Cornish hen, and a BIG success. Very nice dish to serve and be proud of for the holidays. The taste was delicious, the prep was not daunting and the result was nothing short of impressive. Definitely a keeper.

This recipe is a very good way to make these hens. The trick with turning up the oven temp first is helpful for keeping them from drying out. Naturally, the repeated basting helps as well.

With respect to Robin's hygiene. People need to chill out about such things. First of all, the hens are IN the roasting pan, so whether she washes her hands before handing it is pretty much irrelevant. And, those studio kitchens are scrubbed from top to bottom after every episode anyway, so it doesn't much matter there either. Besides, all of these anti-bacterial practices are ultimately making us sicker as a nation over the long haul anyway.
