I'm from Maryland and I have to say that if you have good crabmeat, such as jumbo lump, you don't need all the additional ingredients. A little mayo, dry mustard, worchstershire, old bay, and bread crumbs is all you need. There is way too many ingredients in this recipe.

I often compensate ingredients from the show's recipes and often the end product is a win. This time I compensated the expensive crab with white albacore tuna, made a fish cake and it was very good. I served it with Roman noodles that had fresh peeled and chopped tomatoes and one cube of smooth swiss cheese. Complemented the fish cake very well.

If I am already a fair cook, but want to be a better cook, I watch Food Network. Why would I even attempt a recipe where the main dish is falling apart and unattractive ON THE SHOW? Why even tape a show with disastrous results? I want to learn how to make things right, or better than I already do. It may taste good, but if it's a mess to serve, why bother?

My husband and I love to cook! Trying new recipes is part of the fun for us. We had been looking forward to enjoying our crab cakes, but were thoroughly disappointed. The crab cakes fell apart. We did taste them even though they weren't in any condition to be served for dinner. The taste was horrible also. I can't believe that we wasted all of that crab meat.

I found I had to double all the extra ingredients to compesate for all that crab, but it was delicious. We made the crab and corn chowder, artichoke dip and the crustini as well, it was great all week!

We saw the recipe on Today's show, and thought it sounded good. It was very easy to make and our whole family loved it! The mustard flavor in particular was enjoyed by all.

This recipe was great. I used imiation crab meat. We loved this recipe. I have never made any other type of crab besides crab dip. It was very easy to make and dinner was done in a flash. Thank you

It is a lot of crab. So unless you are planning on making the dip and the soup, cut down on the amount of crab. Also I almost doubled the amount of seasoning and doubled the sour cream and added an egg because all of the reviews complained about the seasoning and that they kept falling apart. It was wonderful.

I followed the recipe's ingredient quantities and I really started getting worried when it did not look like the mixture shown on tv.
But I carried on hoping for the best. I was embarrassed serving this to my husband. It tasted...bland, and kind of gross plus it fell apart worse than hers did on tv! I am also mad that I wasted my money on this recipe.
