I was looking for a croque monseiur recipe, and chose this one since it didn't call for the bechamel sauce; less caloric and time consuming. I used healthnut bread and substituted dry mustard for the cinnamon, and 1% milk for the water. I forgot the baking powder, and didn't miss it in the final result. The combination of pear, ham, and the nutty flavor of the bread was delicious. Thanks!

I was very inspired by this recipe and made something somewhat similar that was delicious. The differences were I used a whole wheat english muffin, lightlife smart deli ham (vegetarian, no baking powder, red delicious apple slices, and a pat of butter in the pan. It smelled really good thanks to the cinnamon and I had myself a great lunch!

Dear Robin, swiss cheese NEVER has holes. That's a requirement from the Swiss government! A swiss-looking cheese with holes is a cheese made in France, NEVER from Switzerland. Other than that, the recipe is good. Easy meal for a night when you don't have time to cook.

Haven't tried it yet, but there must be a nicer, kinder way of rating these recipes than the ones I just read. I don't think attacking the chef is fair or appetizing. Be nice. I will try it and report back! A loyal and appreciative viewer!

I loved this recipe and this is the first time I have actually finished anything with a pear in it. I received pears as a gift this holiday season and wanted to make one last effort to enjoy a pear - this recipe combines all the right ingredients and the cooking process brought out the sweetness in the pears - woo hoo. By the way...I don't cook either and it was simple to make and my husband enjoyed it as well.

This was one of Robin's more disgusting sandwiches. The pairing of mayo, cinnamon, and mustard was odd to say the least. The flavors didn't mingle at all. I've tried a few of her recipes all with no so good reviews. I won't waste my time anymore.
