I normally don't leave too many reviews unless a recipe REALLY moves me...and this one moved me!! Made this tonight to have with schnitzel and there are really no words to describe how delicious it is! I goofed and used apple cider vinegar instead of red wine vinegar...and I only used a dash of cinnamon (didn't want it to overpower the dish - cinnamon isn't my favorite. And instead of the bags of shredded cabbage, I just used a head of red cabbage. I could eat this with every meal! I'll be making this every week!

delicious!!! i had to make a few changes but it was still absolutely divine. i didn't have any red wine so doubled the vinegar and added 1/2 cup of white wine. omitted the cinnamon as i am not a big fan of it. Will definitely be adding this to my weekly vegetarian menu.

Fantastic!! This is the best red cabbage I have ever had. Better than any German restaurant. I followed the recipe exactly as written.

I found this recipe to use with the red cabbage I harvested from my garden. It was delish! I didn't have the wine on hand and it come out wonderful! I couldn't stop "taste testing" because it was just that good!

I served this with pork tenderloin to our friends, and they loved it. I also tried it with bacon and would definitely make it again.

This is a keeper. Tried it with bacon and pancetta along with the original way. All were great. I did however add more wine. Consumed a goodly portion of cabbage "testing" the pot. Think next time will be adding balsamic vinegar too.

Great winter side dish. My tweaks...1. used bacon instead of olive oil 2. used a mixture of basalmic and apple cider vinegars 3 three apples and added a pinch of cloves. This was yummy!
