My family loved this recipe- we also doubled the sauce and used got the ginger from the sushi counter at the market. Super good cold the next day too! Thanks!

Cook often and wondering what I could have done wrong. This was not what I expected based on the many four star reviews. I did leave out Cilantro, can't imagine it would change my opinion too much. Please don't let this review keep you from giving it a try, it's definitely a healthy meal.

Acckk!! This dish is so good!! I would give it 10 stars if I could. This is honestly my favorite chicken dish ever made - and believe me, I've cooked a lot of chicken. My boyfriend loves it, my mom loves it, I've made it when I've hosted dinner parties and also brought it to picnics and potlucks. But I agree, the proportions are a little off. If you're making 12 ounces of soba noodles, I would double the chicken and sauce, as well as the sauce on the noodles themselves. I usually add in extra scallions as well. Some people have mentioned that they skipped the pickled ginger - DON'T do that! It adds an amazing kick that is irreplaceable. The easiest place to find pickled ginger in the grocery store is in the deli section where they sell fresh sushi - they usually have little containers of it for about $1.50.

Skipped the food processor and pickled ginger and it was still fabulous. I will definitely add another jalapeno next time.

I have made this several times and it's always a winner! Like other posters, I have doubled it (usually because there isn't enough to have any leftovers! Soba noodles are harder to find but I usually make it with a couple packages of ramen type noodles that are in the refrigerated/produce area of my local grocery store. It's good warm or cold and travels well any time you have a gathering.

I liked this. Chicken was pleasantly sweet and the heat from the jalapeno wasn't overwhelming. Simple and fast and tasty. I like soba noodles but my fiance didn't, so next time I might try some plain noodles.

Easy and delicious. Have made this recipe many times, and now always double the sauce. Plus, if you are like me and like spice- add more jalapeno!
