What a waste of steak. The only way my husband and I were able to eat this steak without wasting it was to use a lot of A1 sauce.

My husband and his cousin loved Robin's Jamaican Jerk Flank Steak. After reading the reviews, I cut all the spices in half and doubled the sugar. I didn't use thyme because didn't have any on hand. They enjoyed the tender meat that I grilled on our Foreman for six minutes.

Okay, so I ended up using a different marinade for the Jamaica Jerk (after reading the reviews, but I followed the rest of the recipes to a T and they were great! The grilled flank with the snap pea side was delish; we all LOVED the fajitas and the steak sandwiches were great with tomatoes on the side. And it was ALL SO EASY. With two children in diapers, this was key -- and it tasted great!

If you like cloves I guess you will love it. I had never cooked with them before and I thought the maranade was awful!

I thought this recipe was really great! Although, I added an extra tablespoon of sugar to the marinade. I broiled, instead of grilling, the steak was perfect! I really enjoy Robin's attitude and her prep-ahead tips.

My husband hated this recipe so bad that he hurt my feelings & I didn't speak to him until the next day.
The allspice & cloves are so overpowering that you couldn't taste anything else. DH said it tasted like it had been soaked in spiced tea mix (and this was the nicest thing he had to say. We almost couldn't eat it. I did the Fajitas & the marinade made it better (that & lots of guacamole, sour cream & salsa to hid that overwhelming spicy taste. We love Jamaican Jerk food but this tastes nothing like the Carribean restaurants serve. Sorry Robin but you really goofed on this one. Great idea to do 1 recipe & stretch it for 3 meals w/ different recipes but this one is going in the trash at my house. I wish I had read these reviews before I ruined a nice piece of beef(london broil. At least DH was a good enough sport to try the Fajitas the next day.

My husband said it was DELICIOUS! And that is a REAL compliment coming from him. I marinated it overnight. It was really good.

I'm embarrassed for the cook who aired this recipe. It was horrific. My husband who's not very picky hated it and I could never eat it again and my
14 year old who is somewhat picky wouldn't take a second bite. Save yourself the time and money and DO NOT
try this recipe.

The jerk spices were way too strong. No one in my family liked it.

I hate to be negative, but the marinade for this was HORRIBLE! I read all the reviews while the steak was cooking (coated in the marinade and after reading the warnings, I tried to wash it off. It was so overpowering. This is such a neat concept (prepping three meals in one session and I'm looking forward to trying some of the others. But this marinade has got to go.
