This is more a tomato sauce/rib recipe, not BBQ ribs. If you know that going into it, you might not be dissapointed.

Based on other reviews I made a few changes and was so pleased by how easy and yummy these ribs were. First of all, I didn't use her sauce. Instead, I used a jar of barbeque sauce that I had on hand. I put 1/3 cup of sauce on the bottom, layered the ribs on top and then added about another 1/3 sauce on top. Then I just popped it in the slowcooker and let it cook on low for 10 hours. It was so exciting to come home from work and have really good ribs waiting! But there was one more thing--although the ribs were so tender and juicy when I got home, they were barbeque-y enough for me so I put them on a pan, basted one side in sauce (that's really all you need and then broiled them for about 7-8 minutes. When they came out they were perfect! I did use leftover rib meat for the barbeque pizza the next day and that was also really good. Do try it! You won't be disappointed.

Should be named slow cooked ribs in barbecue sauce. A true barbecue rib needs to be Slow Smoked over a real fire. Ribs cooked in barbecue sauce are not Barbecued ribs.

After reading the other reviews i was alittle worried about this meal. I followed it as directed and after 6 hours it smelt so good through out the house. Then the last two hours i put it on high and i added some maple syrup, lemon and onion to the mix. It turned out great! The meat was so tender anddddd what i like was that it had that bbq flavor with out that heavy bbq sauce on it..which is what i wanted!!..it wasnt bland at all i just wish i had made more!!

These ribs are over the top FAB!!! I changed up a few things for my families taste. Seared the ribs in olive oil before throwin' in the slow-cooker. I used our fav BBQ sauce instead of the sauce in the recipe. And when it was done I put more bbq on them and put them on broil for a few minutes to give them a crusty top like we love. I didn't have any of the fat on the top of the sauce like others stated...but maybe because I seared the ribs first. Anyway....WAY love em!

I browned the ribs prior to placing in crock pot. My family enjoyed them very much. Will make again.

These are out of this world and DO melt in your mouth. Forget about the meat hanging onto the bone. It just drips off and falls aapart as you lift them out.
