To address some reviewer concerns: Trim the ribs first, so the sauce isn't so greasy. Do not cook too long; watch this one. This sauce is tomato-based and tastes like it, so if you want something else do a different sauce, but these are so tender and the mellowness of the sauce lets the pork taste come through, so buy good quality meat. Then, it's a great recipe. I've made it over and over to raves and it is so quick to prepare.

I used this recepie for a BBQ this weekend. After reading the reviews I did some tweeking and they literally fell off the bone.

I seared the ribs first to get some fat off. I replace the tomato sauce with Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce. I used a whole bottle, and mixed the rest of the seasonings in following the recepie.

I would definetly make these again.

Well this receipe was great for creating fall off the bone tender meat but when it comes to the sauce, I was less than impressed. It was bland and needed to taste more smoky and it lacked any sweetness.

I'll admit, a great way to cook ribs, but I wouldn't call this barbequed ribs. The sauce tasted like some tomatoes with "stuff" thrown in. I'll find a better sauce next time.

This was so easy to prepare, throw together and forget about it. My family loved it. Will do this one again. Only problem was there was none left over to make the Pizza.

I have cooked this recipe twice and it was so good. I did put some Liquid Smoke in the sauce. After reading many of the reviews I think the problem is the Crock Pot.
We had a 6 Qt Crock Pot (Smart Potand on low all it did was boil everything. Crock Pot replaced it with another one and it did exactly the same. About a month ago I went out and bought a West Bend and it does not boil everything. The ribs were great but I honestly think in a Crock Pot it would have been a greasy mess. I must say I have an older smaller Crock Pot that was made in the USA and it works great.

My husband likes to cook, especially meat main dishes. He watched Robin make the barbecued ribs and decided it would be worth trying.
He's prepared it twice so far, and wouldn't change anything in the recipe.
This sauce is better than any other we've tasted, and makes a delicious spaghetti sauce. I browned some ground beef, heated the leftover sauce and we had the best spaghetti dinner ever!
