We loved this recipe (we love all Robin's recipes!!! For a sauce I combined the orange marmelade with some barbeque sauce which was great. I also subbed Panko breadcrums for the oats which makes it a little crunchier.

II just started watching Robin and this was my first recipe try.....I did my version and coated the chicken with the marmalade and just rolled it in the oats...sprayed the pan and chicken.....was awesome.....I was afraid the other ingredients might spice it up too much....tasted great just with the marmalade...would recommend this to anyone.

I've made this recipe a few times now. I can understand why a lot of people don't like them, my husband included. It is an interesting combination of flavors, but personally I like it. Give it a try, but if you're a picky eater, this recipe is probably not for you.

This was the worst chicken dish I have ever tasted. Comlete waste of time, ingredients, and money. It looks just like it tastes - nasty. I am a very good cook, and have never had such a failure with any recipe. Thank God, I had some leftovers from Melissa's Chicken L'Orange, so my family didn't go to bed hugry.

I was disappointed. Besides the fact that the flavors did not compliment each other, the ratio of oats, flour and spices are off! I cut down on the spices and still found it to be too much. Terri in Tampa

I think the next time I make these I won't use as much oregano. Some are complaining that 1/4 cup of oats didn't cover all the chicken... use your heads, guys... Add more oats to the bag! I didn't pay attention to the amount of oats the recipe required (or how to coat them for that matter because I just poured a bunch of oats onto a plate and after coating the chicken with marmalade, I pressed each side into the oats... they were covered.
I like the suggestion to use Panko breadcrumbs... but I always have oats in my cupboard so when it comes down to making a special trip to the grocery store, I'd rather just use what I have because they turned out well with the oats.

The chicken tenders tasted fine, but the oat mixture isn't enough to fully coat all of the tenders. The next time I make these, I will probably make 3 times as much.

While the recipe is very kid-friendly, I find it is even better if you use 1/4 cup crushed cornflakes and 1/4 cup of shredded coconut, but omit the oats. Also, you can replace the orange marmalade with apricot preserves. Overall, very yummy.

I did not use the seasonings in the recipe but used a chicken seasoning instead. It was very good and different. Will make again.
