I make oven-fried chicken atleast once every two weeks. I buy cornflake crumbs and use seasoned salt and cayenne pepper. It makes the most delicious crispy chicken.

I think that the concept is good, but that there needs to be a little more flavor. Probably adding more spices would make this meal really great. I served it with sauteed spinach with a lot of minced garlic, a little olive oil and some red pepper flakes, and i think that more garlic and maybe some of the red pepper flakes would have made the chicken outstanding.

Not exactly sure that it tastes just like fried, but it sure is delicious and easy! I've even started keeping a small plastic container of all the dry ingredients mixed together in my pantry for a dish that comes together in about three minutes!

I could never make fried chicken in 26 years good enough for my family....now it's "you finally learned to fry chicken!". This baked version is great and no one here the wiser!

Chicken wasn't bad. I think I would not put in the spices but use lemon pepper instead. I thought it was good and easy enough.

This was a noble attempt but the flavor is to paprikish without the crisp of a breading. The oats take a little getting used to. Certainly wouldn't feed to my southern grandpa.

We didn't have any instant oats so I ground up old fashioned rolled oats in the blender, mixed in one beaten egg with the mustard and gave each piece of chicken a quick squirt with a canola oil cooking spray.

The coating had a nice texture and didn't taste "oatey" at all, and because I cut the mustard with an egg, it wasn't overpowering. The canola oil helped the chicken brown slightly and while it wouldn't fool anyone into thinking it was fried, it was a delicious and healthy alternative to Shake n' Bake.

    Going to make it again.

The mustard taste seemed to overpower the chicken. I didn't really like the texture of the oatmeal for the batter either.
