Watched the "Thai One On" show at the gym. Couldn't wait to get home and start. Made all the recipes on the show. Excellent!!!
Tweaked a little: Regular chicken broth, 4 Tbsp. peanut butter, scallions were a little strong, will cut back next time, and there will be a next time.

Was never thrilled with any of the recipes presented, but thought I would try one of the Thai ones. BLAND!! if you top with the cilantro that herb will be left in your taste buds for the remainder of the meal. I will say I cut the recipe in half, but no matter it was boring and basically tasteless. Was that a peanut sauce?? liquid waterey, barely a hint of peanut.. I will try another recipe on this category, maybe will try to thicken the sauce....

I made this dish and was entirely delighted with the results. I added some red pepper flakes while it was cooking just to give it a kick and also threw in some red pepper which added some pleasant color :

I have made peanut sauce on several other occasions, and we enjoy it. This sauce was very thin and not particularly flavorful. I heartily agree with the other tasters who called this "bland" and "not authentic." I only tried this recipe b/c I couldn't find my standard peanut sauce recipe. I was a bit concerned when I saw the teeny tiny amount of peanut butter in it. My other recipe takes 1/2 cup.

Also, in response to another reviewer who said that those of us who thought this dish bland must not have added the hot sauce, upon tasting this sauce, I tried adding several things to give it more kick--some Thai chili-garlic sauce, more hot sauce, and a splash of fish sauce. Still, runny and gross. Really made the noodles an unappealing soggy texture, and was a waste of some very pretty shrimp.

If you are very new to Thai food, you may wish to try this one. I suppose it would be a gentle introduction to the cuisine. But don't expect it to be authentic, and don't expect Thai food at a good restaurant to taste like this. Yuk.

What a great dish, and so simple. This was the first time I made peanut sauce. My family loved the taste, it was even better the nest day. Good job Robin

This dish was totally without flavor. We ate it; I thought maybe I messed up the recipe but I reviewed it and I didn't. The sauce was way too thin; flavor was way too weak for us. Needs a total revision.

The sauce tasted alright but it was extremely watery. I didn't really think this tasted like the peanut noodles I like from the thai restraunts.

My husband and I both enjoyed this recipe, but I did change a couple of things. I only used 2 cups of chicken broth and I doubled the hot sauce. I think I will try to thicken the sauce a little bit next time with flour. Overall the reciped was great!
