I made the pork chops with the sauce(excluded the potatoes and had a salad instead. It was delicious and so easy to make. I had all the ingrediets on hand except the dried tarragon--used dried parsley instead. Beautiful simple flavors, not overpowering at all. I would definitely make this again! The family (including the kids were licking their plates clean! :

My honey and I cooked this with high hopes for a deliciously romantic meal.
We looked at the final product, tasted and simultaneously went.. eh, a little bland." Good Try Robin, try a little harder next time

This recipe offers a simple and savory option for pork chops - elegantly simple. The combos are great - even allow for short-cuts. My recommendation is that the thyme is far too strong. As rosemary often does, it overpowered the other delectible flavors. Next time, I will half-again the tarragon, and half the thyme (maybe more. I think this will allow the carmelizing of the meat, and the richness of the butter, wine, shallots and pepper to come forth. If you're cooking the base-chop, and all you can smell is one ingredient - it's too much! Bon Appetit!

When I watched Robin make this dish, it looked so delicious I just had to try it.I always read the reviews before I make any of the recipes as those before me either leave the recipe as it is or make adjustments to make it better or just give it two thumbs down & are done with it. The reviews for this recipe were all over the place! I borrowed the idea of the chicken broth (instead of chanpange or winefrom one & added more tarragon from another. My contribution to this is I added a half capful of Kitchen Bouquet to mine. Overall,my family enjoyed this & I would make it again.

I used sauterne wine to give the sauce zippier flavor and half and half rather than milk. Plus, I added extra herbs - especially tarragon which I love. It was delicious.

This lady can't cook! I've tried a few things and they've all been awful (and I'm a pretty good cook.
This one was bland and was like eating paper. Don't waste your time on this recipe... In a matter of fact, avoid all her recipes.
Go check out Ina's page. Now there's a lady who can cook!
