The squash was under done. I have made a similar squash and cooked it for an hour. The squash needed more sugar as well.

It is so simple and quick! Next time I will bake it 35-40 minutes instead, and put more suger. We think this recipe is great. I just like it sweeter...personal preference. I actually scooped it out to a bowl and smashed it like making mashed potato. Tasty.

I might not be crazy about every one of Robin's recipes, but she really has me thinking ahead. If I make extra of anything, how can I use it for a completely different meal next time? I've never liked leftovers, but this is a very different approach and I like it. Thanks, Robin!!

My family loved it! Even my daughter, who normally wouldn't even try squash. I sprinkled a little more brown sugar over the whole squash, and cooked about 10 minutes longer! Looked beautiful, tasted awesome.

It was very easy to prepare, but the taste was bland.

This is a bad recipe. I did exactly as it says, andt he flesh wasn't even CLOSE to being fork tender.

The "bowl" of the squash (where the butter was placed prior to cooking was very good and buttery, but the rest was just like eating plain squash. I couldn't taste the brown sugar at all (and I was a little more generous with it than the recipe called for. Also, it took about an HOUR to reach the "fork tender" stage -- nearly double the stated cooking time, so be prepared.

This was a tasty & easy way to fix butternut squash without having to peel it. BTW - the picture is exactly how mine looked.
