I'm trying this for the first time, I don't usually do exacts, but, I did with this. We will see I will let you know what happens! I'm making it for my husband and in-laws to night for dinner. Cross your fingers. I'll keep you posted.

I thought this was very bland. I also tried to jazz it up - but it was an unmitigated disaster.

Followed the recipe and found it to be very bland. I even reduced the amount of chicken broth and added an extra apple. There was not enough flavoring for me. I don't know if cream of celery soup would be the best match for this particular recipe. I won't be making it again.

My husband & I like this recipe. I use chicken thighs as they hold up better and stay moist.

I made this the other day and made some of the alterations suggested in previous reviews. I added some diced red potatoes to the bottom of the crock pot. This kept my apples from going to mush. I also reduced the broth to 3/4 cup and added a full can of cream of celery and a full can of cream of chicken. The result was pretty good and wasn't bland because I liberally salted and peppered and used fresh rosemary.

The one thing I look for is easy, easy and more easy..and this was one of those meals...and yet it was very tastey. I bought the apples already peeled and cut, the bought the onions already cut up at foodtown, two chicken breasts that I cut in half, threw in the can of broth and a can of cream of celery soup....I mean, come on...oh yeah, I used the 10 minute rice in the microwave..AND DONT FORGET TO USE THE SLOW COOKER LINER FOR EASY CLEAN UP

While the chicken was really moist and juicy - the rest of the dish fell somewhat flat. All that was left from the apples were the skins. The broth left over had some decent flavor, but again, the dish just didn't come together for my husband and I. It wasn't bad - but it wasn't something I'd keep in my recipe file.

I thought this recipe was delicous. Key is using fresh rosemary and when it was done I added cornstarch to thicken the broth. I am keeping this one.

Would not recommend at all. We made this last night and it was awful. The chicken was bland and the apples were beyond mushy. My wife and I ended up putting barbecue sauce on the chicken to give it SOME flavor.

Would liked to have been able to taste the apples but could not. Recipe was very easy to make though.
