Great to know that even the cooking challenged can make a great dinner. Great for beginners.

I made this with a few omissions. I used kielbasa sausage instead of adouille and eliminated the hot sauce. My children don't like spicy food. It was wonderful! Extra special with the addition of shrimp. I like the leftovers the next day over rice.

I was pretty disappointed when I made this recipe. I had read the reviews and it sounded like it would be great. I felt the sauce was way too thin and the chicken was tough and not tender at all.

after reading earlier reviews, I added 2 teaspoons of cornstarch to 1/4 cup of chicken stock along with fresh raw shrimp about 1/2 hour before serving and this helped to thicken it. I was still not happy with the texture of the sausage in the finished product although the taste was good and it was easy to make.

While I would not consider this a "jambalaya" recipe, I will say that it is excellent. It was very easy to put together, and made the whole house smell fantastic. I highly recommend this to any busy family.

The only thing I would change about this recipe is to add 1 cup of uncooked rice about half hour before serving. Without adding the rice it makes this dish more of a thin gumbo than a thick jambalaya. Other than that it is a very good and easy recipe.

Quite good, but a bit spicy for me. Perhaps I'd try it again, with either a less spicy sausage or lighten up on the hot sauce.

I did enjoy trying the jambalaya as it's always good to taste something new.

I served this to guests and they raved! I am here to tell you that children will eat anything Robin MIller cooks on tv even the spicy stuff. When they find out that it is a fifteen minute meal, they are ready to set the table.

I would suggest smoked sausage as the andoullie broke apart - but in all it was a great meal and my entire famiyl enjoyed it!
