This has great flavor but I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that the gravy looked so thick on TV is very thin and runny when you make it at home. Still the flavor is great. Next time I may pour the gravy into a sauce pot and reduce it a little before serving.

I agree with the reviewer who felt it was a stretch to title this "sweet and sour" pork. It had no elements of Asian flavors. My pork and potatoes were both very tender, and the onions nicely carmelized having cooked on low for 8 hours,BUT you would expect this with any slow cooked meal. This aside, the marinade was mediocre. I felt there was too much ketchup. I would add some type of BBQ sauce the next time and some additional spices.

Being acquainted with Robin's recipes, I knew I would haved to tweek the recipe. I made sure to double the sauce ingredients(except the water, I only used 1/4 cup. The end results were wonderful! The meat was so tender and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely make again.

not your typical pork roast, but not to wild for the kids. i added some carrots in with the potatoes and they were extra delicious!

I made this recipe and to my disappointment the meat had absolutely no taste. Most of the potatoes were cooked but had an awful garlic taste. I couldn't stand the smell throughout the house. With all of the stuff in the "sauce" which I have to agree was more like a BBQ sauce you would think it had would taste good...not so. I love how tender the meat is in a slow cooker but will stick to my own spices to flavor it. My family was also very disappointed and my husband even commented on the awful garlic smell that was all throughout the house!

The pork came out very tender.....but the sauce is not that great. I ended up taking the pork out after 8 hours and boiling the sauce on the stove to thicken it. Also I put the potatoes under the broiler because they were not as done as I like (they were cut small. Not a recipe to rave about.

The meat and potatoes were tender, but the sauce is .... well, not a sauce. It didn't even taste 'barbeque-y.' I only used 1/2 cup of water like many of the other reviewers suggested, but it was still 'watered down.' This recipe will require some playing around with .... Unfortunately, it did not leave me with a good first impression - it's easy, but it lacks taste.

It was great! Mmm. Mmm. Good.

I not only loved the food I made based on Robin Miller's recipe, but the grocery list and menu planner was a tremendous help. I wish all of the Food Network Chefs would make up grocery lists and menu planners like Robin Miller. It made the whole process of cooking, so much easier.
