This is now in our monthly rotation of recipes. I cooked it on low for about 8 hours while at work. There are some posts saying that their pork was tough. It's not the recipe, it's the pork. The second time I made it I had a tough pork roast. We also love the pulled pork sandwiches. I love this recipe so much I have passed it on to alot of my friends.

I made this for dinner last night. I watched the video before I prepared it, but added the water anyway. I will not add the water next time. Robin doesn't add it in the video so I wonder why it's listed as an ingredient at all. I had to add some cornstarch to thicken up the sauce. But - the flavor was FANTASTIC. I love the way the gravy coated the potatoes and onions. The sweet and sour taste was spot on. I will be making this again.

I made this recipe last night for dinner and it was outstanding. I only changed a couple of minor things: 1 I quartered the onions rather than chopped, 2 I used Splenda Brown Sugar in lnstead of regular brown sugar as I am a diabetic and 3 I added about 1/3 cup chicken broth to the mixture. It was sensational - you could cut the pork with a fork it was that tender and juicy. The potatoes were also tender and had an excellent flavor from the sauce. I have tried many of Robin's recipes and have loved them all. However, this one has got to be one of my favorites and I will definitely be making this pork dish again and again!!!

I love slow cooker recipes and this one is no exception. Next time I will just quarter my onions though instead of chopping them, I like big onion pieces. Very moist and delicious!

We loved this recipe. My family's not a big fan of pork, but they liked this one.
Very easy to prepare and if done right its really good comfort food. Will do again.

I made this with a 2lb roast. It took me 7 hours on high to get the meat cooked through. I thought that it was kind of bland and boring. I'm looking forward to the pulled pork sandwiches though...

I loved it, but my husband didn't care for it at all because of the pairing of potato and tomato. I agree it doesn't really taste like traditional sweet and sour, but it was kind of like a stew and very good the next day.

I just bought my slow cooker and this was the 1st recipi because I had pork chops in the house. (instead of pork roast. THe sauce was not tht great and tasted nothing like a traditional sweet and sour sauce. I cooked for 8 hours on slow. The potatoes, even though cut up small, did not cook, The pork was nice and tendor. Perhaps, because I used Maine potatoes? I would not cook this one again.

I have tried this recipe several times and my family and friends have enjoyed and taken the recipe home. After making it the first time, I tweeked the recipe by omitting the water. My slow cooker provides enough steam to somewhat dilute the sauce but allows the meat to have a richer flavor and we think the sauce is better too. I also use small red (new potatoes with skins own. They don't absorb much sauce flavor but spoon sauce over when served - texture and flavor is great.

I was excited to find this website and this recipe while looking for something fast and good using pork. I read the reviews and chose to be optimistic...but, I won't be making this again. I followed the directions exactly, cooked on high for 4 hours. The pork is very tender and pulls apart nicely, but there is no taste to it. Potatoes were al dente (which we like. My daughter really didn't like it, I thought it was just bland.
