I made these cookies with a 15-oz roll of sugar cookie dough, keeping the pistachio amount at 1/2 cup and increasing the dried cherries to 1 cup. Instead of rolling out the dough I mixed it by hand and made drop cookies. I had no problem with the which chocolate and it was delicious. The were very pretty for the Christmas cookie exchange and simple and quick too!

I was pleasently surprised by these cookies. I don't care for cherries in cookies but I liked these. I made these for the girls at work and they were gone quickly. Even people ate them who don't like cherries.

I love this cookie! After reading the other reviews and seeing that folks had difficulty with rolling the dough I just put the dough in a bowl and stirred in the nuts and fruit. I used pistachios and dried cranberries. For the white chocolate I melted it and then just spread a bit of it in the center of the cookie. It came out so tasty... not too sweet and deliciously crunchy!

The idea of using pistachio's and dried cherries is a great idea, but using store bought sugar cookie dough was a terrible idea. I couldn't roll it or pat it into a rectangle. The dough kept on sticking to no matter what I tried to roll it out on. I even tried to use flour so it wouldn't stick, still didn't work. The dough was right out of the fridge so it wasn't too soft. I ended up having to mix everything together and using it like a drop cookie. If I do it again I would recommend using a sugar cookie recipe and mix in the nuts and cherries and drop it by teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. Also the roll of cookie dough doesn't make enough cookies for all the aggravation. After I chopped the nuts in the food processor I had all this "nut dust" so I sifted the nuts to remove the "dust" and then I sprinkled it on top of the cookies before I baked them. I did still dip them in chocolate on one side. I don't like white chocolate so I used dark chocolate. All in all the cookies are good, but use a sugar cookie recipe.

I think these cookies are a nice addition to a holiday tray, but not the best ever. They were easy, but the dough did stick a bit on me and I also found that the nuts and cherries could have been cut by about a third. I drizzled the melted chocolate on top, as others did, and that made a lovely looking result. In all, this recipe won't be a staple, but the flavors are very nice.

I made these cookies for a cookie swap and prepared them directly as Robin made the recipe. They came out great and super easy. My cookies looked so impressive and I even liked them even though I'm not a pistachio fan. I will definitely make this recipe again, but may replace the nuts with pecans. I popped the cookies in the freezer for about 5 minutes after I put the white chocolate on so that it would harden up quicker (I was running late and I did a dip, drizzle combination to get the cookie half covered in the white chocolate. Came out great!

The end result - these taste good, but they were a bit of a mess to make. First I had a hard time finding the dough in any less than a 32 oz package. That's okay...I cut it in half and did variations with it. She doesn't say if you should use unslated nuts or not - I did but they were hard to find. I also agree with the one review that said the dough stuck to my board.

What I finally did was to just mash it all togther and scoop off teaspoon size amounts, roll them into a ball and place them on the baking sheet. That worked pretty well. You will need to cook them longer than specified if you do that though.

These cookies are okay but I doubt that I'd make them again.....there are too many other cookie recipes out there to try.

I saw these cookies on the holiday cookie show and decided they looked really easy. I made them for a work meeting thinking I would have my co-workers taste them and let me know how they were. They never made it to the meeting. Three teenagers devoured them before the chocolate had even set. These cookies are delicious and easy.

WELL I DIDNT SEE THE EPISODE SO MAYBE SOME OF THESE ISSUES WERE DISCUSSED.WHEN I PRESSED MY COOKIE DOUGH OUT ON THE CUTTING BOARD IT STUCK WHEN THE TIME CAME TO ROLL IT.EVEN PUTTING IT IN THE FRIG FOR A LITTLE WILE DIDN'T HELP MUCH. I HAD TO USE A BENCH SCRAPER TO EASE IT OFF. I WOULD SUGGEST SOME LIGHT COOKING SPRAY OR A LITTLE BENCH FLOUR. THEN I GUESS MY ROUGHLY CHOPPED PISTACHIOS WERE A LITTLE TOO CHUNKY BECAUSE TRYING TO CUT THEM TO 1/4 INCH SLICES WAS IMPOSSIBLE EVEN WITH A SHARPE KNIFE. THE END RESULT DELICIOUS !!

I used walnuts instead of pistachios, excellent recipe. My first time making cookies, it was easy to follow and they turned out amazing.
