I hadn't read the reviews, but, hey, YOU'RE the cook! I noticed the liquid was runny and needed some seasoning, so thickened and seasoned it. Duh! Likewise, it wasn't particularly bubbly or browned after 15 minutes, so... I cooked it longer.

It was a big success, and used up a bunch of leftovers.

I think this would have made a better turkey pot pie (minus the potato part. I had thickened it up with leftover gravy and with cornstarch mixture. I also cooked on top of stove a bit longer so the veggies would be cooked all the way. Added a few more seasonings. The taste turned out pretty ok.

Was in a hurry so hadn't read the reviews, was looking for a recipe using leftovers I had on hand and this fit the bill. 2 cups of broth sounded like too much liquid so I tried a cornstarch slurry but it still came out very soupy as others have noted. Also, I sauted the vegetables before adding the turkey and broth mixture because 5 minutes' simmer didn't sound like enough. I used what I had on hand, green beans, carrots, mushrooms, scallions and frozen corn instead of peas, you could use 3 cups of whatever veges you like or have. Added some sage, salt and pepper with the thyme and bay. Finally, because I like sweet potatoes and had a roasted one left over I used it on 1/4 of the casserole (which my husband and 15 year old son avoided like the plague, but happily gobbled up the rest of it. But despite all the tweaking I still found it pretty bland.

After reading reviews I added flour/milk mixture to thicken. Wasnt sure how much to thicken. It was still runny after baking. As is, it was like a soup with mash potatoes as a thickening base. I had added garlic powder, pepper and salted it up so the taste was ok, definitely a 50's basic casserole taste. I drained off the liquid and it became more of a casserole. My teens liked it but I would definitely cut back liquid and thicken it up more like a pot pie instead of soupy.

Well here's what I did based on the previous reviews. Instead of chicken stock I used Turkey gravey. I can already tell by the way it looks in the oven that there is just too much liquid. However, I tasted the batch before it went in and it was good. If it doesn't ruin the mashed potato topping I'd make it again with even less liquid. But all in all a solid dish for your lweftovers.

Totally bland, and the timing was off on the cook time. Was super runny/yucky at 15 minutes, and the carrots were still really firm. I baked for an extra 20 minutes, and still was unimpressed. The flavor wasn't bad, just wasn't much. Of anything. On the other hand, my two kids 3 & under ate it up. That just proves it was bland, IMO. : I'd keep looking if I were you, but it did use up a lot of leftovers without hardly any prurchases. .

This was delicious and super easy. I added the leftover stuffing as another reviewer suggested and cannot imagine the dish without it. I also added some mushrooms, corn and substituted green beans for peas because that is what I had. It did turn out a bit too runny, so I would cut down on some of the chicken broth or try adding cornstarch as another reviewer suggests next time. It was like Thanksgiving dinner in one bite that got rave reviews at my house. Definitely saving this recipe!

We loved this recipe! Didn't have chicken broth so I used veggie broth, and it was wonderful. Saving this one to use with other leftover meats. Thumbs up!
