Very good. Used dried beans instead of canned and added 6 cups water. I cooked it in a pot on the stove as I am not a real fan of the slow cooker. I like the couscous for texture, good idea.

I made this recipe about four times. This is a yummy vegetarian chili. I am going to make it again this week sometime. I also saved it to my recipe box.

I made this recipe for my boyfriend and some of his friends, all of whom are serious meat-eaters, though I am a vegetarian. Threw all the ingredients in the slow-cooker, and VOILA, success! These guys ate the entire pot of chili, leaving me with only a few morsels at the bottom of the bowl. I omitted the lima beans since I find them disgusting from being forced to eat them as a child. Overall, this recipe is excellent. I also made a side of cornbread in a cast-iron skillet. Could not have been more perfect for a Sunday afternoon of football!

The whole family loved it. Be careful to not add much more couscous than recommended... it looked too soupy to me, so I kept adding more. I ended up using water to thin it out again after all the couscous fluffed up!

I'm trying to incorporate a meatless meal each week. This week I tried this recipe and thought it was quite good. My 13 month old son really liked it. My husband thought it was missing something, but he says that about each vegetarian meal I make. I really liked it. I added more couscous than the recipe called for. Overall, flavorful and healthy. I will make this recipe again.

This was so satisfying & tasty! I gave it 5 stars because it's difficult to find excellent vegetarian dishes-I'm trying to institute meatless dinners a few days a week for health & environment's sake.
I could not find the Lima beans at my local Whole Foods, nor did I have the ground coriander in my cabinet so those were omitted, but the dish was still great. Next time I'll of course add the Lima beans but I think I'll still omit the coriander.

Delicious, but a little expensive to buy all of the spices if you don't already own them.
As with all recipes, it is open to interpretation: I substituted the pickled jalapeno with half a fresh jalapeno, and cut the hot sauce in half to compensate. I also added double the couscous, because my family enjoys a thicker chili.
Excellent recipe, and I will definitely make it again!!

So good. My husband and my brother both loved it even though they complained about it not having any meat. I served it over rice instead of the couscous and sprinkled the cheese on top.

Very good. It has a lot of kick to it and is spicy. You can't even tell there is no meat in it. lol
