    This is a must try cake! It is a true Southern Style cake. The taste is just awesome, so very moist. each bite has a taste of prue fresh summer. I must admit I have been eating this cake for over a year now. My Mom is Melinda. She makes it in so many differnt ways It is hard to say which is my favorite, maybe the three layer with cream cheese icing. I want to thank all of you that had really nice things to say about my Mother. You do not know the half of it. She adopted me and my brother I was a small child and my brother was a newborn.She is a truely amazing women who helps people everyday. She is very passionate about arthritis. Everyday she comes up with differnt ways to make life easier for people in pain. I agree with the other people on this site. She could and would love to help any and all chronic pain suffers learn to cook in the kitchen. That is her dream. She always tells us she is a women on a mission and she is. I know she will accomplish all of her goals. She is the reason we are in Mississippi it was because she wanted to help after the Hurricaine hit the coast. In closing I know it would be a much needed show to teach the physically Challenged to cook and my Mom is the women to do it. I am really blessed to have her as my Mom. Good Job Mom!

    This is an excellent cake, my wife made it today, really good with milk. I agree with the other gentleman, I also caught the segment on WLOX TV. I never watched the food network before but I am now a fan. i signed up just to write this.I am a arthritis pat. How great you are teaching yourself to cook in pain. I hope you win tonight! Like I said I agree with the other man If you get a segment on WLOX I will tune in to watch. You should be proud of yourself. You make me want to get off the couch and do more, thanks. my wife would really thankful

    Hey there, I baked this last night and just cut it today. This has to be the most moist cake ever! I also have a lunch service perfect cake for my menu! I caught your news cast and read your story in the local paper, KUDOS TO YOU MY DEAR! I wish the best of luck to you tonight . I was so touched by your story it brought tears to my eyes and I am a pretty tough guy. Your story hit home, my wife has RA & osteo. You are such an inspration to all of us people in good health as well as any handicapped person would be blessed to meet you! I have called our local news and ask if you could do a show to teach the handicapped. What a great concept! Hey food network how about you? This is an amazing women millions would benifit from her show. Give her a show, anyone else agree? A teaching restaruant, Wow! I wish you all the luck in the world. My friends and I will be pulling for you tonight. No matter what happens you repersent MS well and you are a Winner, hey get it? Winner, love your name. You cake is really good where is the recipe for the one on fire that was on the news. I hope to see more of you Melinda, you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I made this recipe today. My family could not wait until it was even completly cooled. The taste warm was just like grandmas, growing up, Now that it has cooled it is even better! I have a family of 5 and it has only been a few hours and there is not a single piece left,lol I guess I will have to make another! Great recipe and so easy. This will be a favorite of mine throughout the year. Thank you for sharing!
