I was more interested in making the bacon waffles than the chicken. I found the batter to be virtually tasteless. The bacon helped, but not by much. However, I made a sweet potato waffle with bacon which turned out very good. Now I have a bowl of batter that I need to work on, or dump.

The chicken was great- recipe was right on. However, the waffle recipe seemed off, so I didn't use it. Five cups of flour for 1 serving? Don't think so.

I have been to the Las Vegas and San Diego restaurants and LOVE them. I always get the Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles. Now I make them when I have that craving. Whenever we are in San Diego, it is a must to visit Hash House. Thanks for this recipie
