I decorated it with fresh flowers to try to make it look special. The canned frosting just doesn't finish off like a professional. I ended up serving it out of the kitchen with out letting anyone see it. I was trying to avoid embarrassing myself. But it was too late, because the cake itself was the monst humiliating part of the shindig. It was awful.

A wedding should be special and the ultimate in decadance. Not out of a can or a box.

and canned frosting for her wedding. If you wanted to make your own cake at least make it from scratch. And if baking is not your forte', hire a caterer. Weddings are supposed to be special not semi.

I still can't figure out how to make more than one tier. I tried it out on my family last night and nobody liked it so I guess it's not really a problem anymore! :

I made this cake for a bridal shower and everyone loved it. It was so moist and the combination of the tart lemon curd and the sweet jam complimented one another perfectly. Also, I covered the cake with fondant that I'd flavored with raspberry candy flavoring to tie the whole cake together.

Thanks! This cake is very much worth the effort for a special occasion. We served it at a baby shower and everyone was blown away by how big and pretty it was. It tastes good too!

This looked impressive in the middle of the appetizer table. It all got eaten too! This was a big cake!
