I love this recipe, and get great comments whenever i make it. I usually add 5-6 cloves of garlic to the browning beef. Since I like things spicy, I usually add 1-2 tablespoons of chili powder.

I am a single mom and I live with my father who kept asking for me to find a chili recipe in the thousands of cookbooks he has bought me..I do not know how to cook but I try everyday to put a homemade meal on the table to give my boys a sense of what normal should feel like..With baseball, karate and the fact i work the graveyard shift dinner has to be quick and easy..this chili recipe is now the rave of my father.thank you for giving me a recipe that truely is easy to read and easy to follow and turns out flavorful. I have messed up plenty of recipes and finally i have one that i dont think i could do any harm to..cant overcook it either cuz even my slow cooker knows i like to damage things so it turns off for me : All busy single moms should try this one its a keeper

I found this chili very easy to make, tasty, and pretty spicy. For those below me that thought it was runny, then they either didn't drain the grease from the beef or they didn't drain the liquid from the canned beans before adding them. I actually added a little extra water to thin my down a little since it turned out pretty thick. Yum! I'll make this again. it's cheap and great for entertaining.

I absolutely loved this recipe and made it in my slow cooker, however it was a little to thick for my liking so I used a little beef broth to thin it out other than that it was delish. I defininately will make it again, thanks Sandra!!!

I needed something to feed a lot of people that is somewhat cheap and warms you. Well chilli came to mind but it has been so long since I made my own that I checked on line. Found this and tried it , So bland I couldn't serve it as is I added a few other things and it wasn't as bad.Needless to say I won't be using this recipe again

For the chili mix and the tomatoes with jalapenos, I get one hot and one regular to get a medium-ish heat. My husband and I really enjoy this, and it feeds two for what seems like FOR.EV.ER

I think this chili turned out terrific and so easy, i think the people who ended up with watery chili didn't use tomato paste which i 'm sure she said to use when i watched that episode but the recipe that they have on here says to use tomato sauce but i think that might be wrong. So maybe if you try using tomato paste that will help with the wateriness and the flavor. And i use black beans and northern beans, kidney light and dark, and pinto instead of the other beans, but thats just me. And it turns out great.

I made this in the slow cooker and actually forgot the light red kidney beans-- but it was still just as good. A tad spicy, but overall very good with a little cheese sprinkled on top--and some cornbread on the side! :

I made this and I loved it. I couldn't find cannellini beans in my store so I substituted them for navey beans instead but it was still great. The jalapenos were a bit much for me. I don't do spicey food so next time I'll just get plain diced tomatos without the jalapenos and leave out some chili spice for people who like it spicey.
