I have made a lot of Baklava ...and all turned out great..this one is good..but must admit I altered the butter and honey...I love my things not so sweet...and of course Baklava is sweet..but I used cooking spray between some layers...and less honey...and I fould it amazing...I try to take recipes not so good for you and alter them to see if they turn out ok...and I was very happy..so was my friends and family...that's all I care about..

My daughter and I made this last year and we are making it again this year for Christmas gifts. It was rather easy to make and tastes so good. We used a coffee grinder to chop the almonds instead of a food processor it worked wonderfully. I think i might try this recipe with walnuts also.

I thought this recipe was wonderful. I used half pecans and half almonds and it turned out so well. Quite a few reviewers said the recipe was too difficult or not worth the work. I have to disagree, I thought it was great and frankly, I didn't expect even a semi homemade baklava to be something I could do in my sleep.

I am going to mske the dish tonight but just wanted to agree with the person who mentioned that some of you out there say that the dish it wonderful, great, etc.and still give 3 stars. I look at the stars and if there aren't enough, I sometimes don't look at the recipe. What is the matter with you people? If you like it, let us know.

Should not be cut before it bakes. Worst baklava I have ever had.

Do you reviewers understand that when you give the recipe 3 stars it actually makes a difference!? I read the reviews and there are people out there that say that it was GREAT and then give it 3 stars! Sheesh! Hence the 3 star average that this shows! I made it and it was REALLY good! VERY easy....well written recipe! PLEASE....if you like the recipe....give it 5 stars...so it doesn't discourage the readers from trying it! Sorta logical huh?

it was so sweet we couldn't enjoy the taste, which was good for the few bites we were able to swallow. The rest went to the landfill. This recipe definitely not a keeper.
