I am a huge almonds cookies fan. I thought these would be good and easy. They were easy. Not good.

I love this recipe. I read other readers said it was too sticky what I did was I used a box of "robin hoods' sugar cookie mix and mixed it. It was too dry at first then I added more water then it got too sticky and when i added the half cup of grounded almonds from this recipe it tended to thicken to just the right texture..then I spread some flour on the counter just to roll out the dough and then pulled it into little balls. I also didn't blanch my almonds but; love it!!! And will more then likely make them when I just feel like baking and take up some ideas with the food coloring and the raisins my son loves raisins!!

These are so quick and easy. And gave me other ideas to work with sugar cookie dough. I have added food coloring for differnet colors, like pastels for Easter and red/green for the Holidays. I have added dates, rasins, chocolate chips, candy bits and the ideas keep coming. Last Christmas I added crushed candy canes to the cookies. Thanks Sandra for quick easy cookies.

I have made many of Sandra's recipes and have really liked them all, but this one just didn't please anyone in my family. I ended up throwing half in the trash as no one ate them.

I really like this recipe. It was easy to make and I love the almond flavor. I have made these cookies for many occasions and everyone always asks for the recipe. Even those not particularly fond of almonds. They get the recipe to make for their family or friends that do like almonds. It's just a great cookie to have with coffee!

Dough was sticky so the freezer tip left by another reviewer helped. Cookies were delicious and so cute.
