To make this recipe truly light I used sugar-free maple syrup. The burgers held together just fine on the grill. I also used greek yogurt in place of the mayonnaise for the sauce (and sugar-free maple syrup and it tasted delicious. My husband (who attended CIA was very pleased with this departure from standard burger fare.

LOVED THIS RECIPE! My husband and I gobbled them up. Unfortunately, my 1 year old wasn't as keen on them, but he had a huge snack, so we'll try them again with him. I loved the flavors even though we didn't use bacon bits.

Made for the first time yesterday. Absolutely delicious! Flavorful but not overpowering. The only thing we added to our burger was a slice of avacado & onion for a little creaminess & bite. These were quick & easy! It's been added to our favorites!

I love the use of real maple syrup in recipes (with dijon and balsamic vinegar, for example so I thought I would love this as much as others who rated it. Mostly, the burger tasted like breakfast sausage. All the flavors worked well together, but the overall effect was just that, breakfast. I had no problem with the burgers sticking to the grill, which was super hot intitially. Nice texture too. It wasn't overly sweet either. There was one poster who was positively vicious at another poster for liking things too sweet -- I found that odd (and disturbing. But even with the applesauce it wasn't overly sweet. DO use "real" maple syrup, please don't contaminate your food with imitation anything!

I prefer turkey bugers with more mediterranean flavors so I will probably not make this again.
