Pan fried the burgers at medium-low, as opposed to medium-high suggested in the instructions. Within 3 minutes the outside of the burgers were black, probably due to the apple sauce.
Once the outside of the burgers were removed, what remained tasted quite good.
I'll try them once more on the BBQ, hopefully with better results.

I always hated turkey burgers. They just were never juicy or tasty enough. This recipe is excellent!! The juiciest, tastiest turkey burgers ever. Yummy

I never thought I would like turkey burgers better than beef but these burgers have made me switch sides. My family and friends think this recipe is amazing. So easy to do. I did not add the bacon, and added extra spices like cumin and emerils' spice mix, so 2 tsp instead of 1. I also added a bit less maple syrup to the sauce because we don't like sweet so much in my house. They turned out perfect. I'm going to try it with ground chicken too, just to change it up.

Trying to eat healthier, and saw this on TV, and decided to give it a whirl. I was skeptical about using the breast turkey meat, thinking it would be dry on the grill...Boy..was I ever wrong! This is a wonderful recipe. Turkey is moist..very flavorful. We toasted the buns on the grill, which made them even better with the sauce.
This will be a staple in our house all year long!

know the show asks to keep it sweet and all....but found that this buger recipe was way above sweet. Cloying would come to mind, maybe useful to get kiddies to swallow. Had to add lots of Sirachi and red pepper flakes to the mayo/maple dressing to wolf it down.

When I saw Sandra make these burgers, I just had to give the recipe a try. I'm sure glad I did! The burgers are so juicy, and the sauce is deliciously different and flavorful. Even a finicky--and skeptical--friend of mine liked these burgers.
I just made 'em a second time last night (I seldom make a recipe twice, and yep, they're great! I microwaved another one for dinner tonight, and I could detect the poultry seasoning more.
I don't know if I'll ever go back to ground beef burgers again. This recipe is a "keeper." Can't wait to try 'em on the barbie!! Thanks, Sandra.

I loved it! I used plain ground turkey and broiled. They were delicious! I was a little worried with the moistness but they were fine when broiled. My daughter said they tasted like sausage. :-

i absolutely have despised turkey and after watching this episode and seeing the combination of ingredients i thought i'd give it a shot. I am glad i did because they were absolutely wonderful and have made this recipe four times now. My whole family loves them too.

Love this recipe! My husband the red meat lover never says no when I say would you like the Maple Turkey Burgers! The maple-dijon-mayo is great on the burger and great for dipping the baked sweet potato wedges. Sent this recipe with my Mom and Sister to North Carolina to make for my Aunt and Uncle, they didn't want the bun but LOVED the burger! I never liked Dijon mustard but mixed with the maple and mayo.....YUM! I did not have real Maple Syrup but I did use Sugar Free Maple Syrup and it came out fine. I do recommend mixing the turkey mixture and then refrigerating before making the burger patties. Love this, Love This, LOVE THIS!
