    Great with the lemon chicken. Nice balance of sweet and sour. I don't use the almonds. Just personal taste.

    We like this recipe, though I definiely think it's better with some salt! The almonds add a lot of flavor. Didn't like this with the lemony chicken (too sweet, but love it with apple/sage or spicy apricot pork chops.

    I made this dish for my family and they really seemed to like it. I did change it up a little though, and used jasmine rice instead of the instant. The apple flavor was subtle and different. Nice for a change - I will use this recipe again!

    apparently i used the wrong rice so my texture was horrible, and i think it would go so much better with steaks and stuff like that. lemon chicken and apple rice pilaf.. it's little too sweet for my taste and i think it's overdoing the fruit flavor

    The rice was much too sweet and the apple juice left a flavor that we didn't much care for. The last thing I'd serve it with is a sweet entree like lemon chicken.

    This might have worked better with a wild rice mix that could stand up to the sweetness of the juice. The color was insipid and the flavor far too sweet. Not a winner in my book.
