I made these as and Easter app for family - SOOOO good and so easy. I cut the bacon into thirds and that was perfect. At the end I finished them under the broiler 'cuz they were taking too long to cook the bacon. Half hearts would be a little more hearty and worth a try next time.

Best, yummiest, quickest appetizer I have ever made. Brilliant! I cook mine for about 25 minutes to get the bacon really crisp: Love it!

These are wonderful! My daughter has recently taken an interest in cooking and since she is still young she we have been looking for simple recipes that she can make on her own. These fit the bill and were so good I definitely will be keeping the recipe for when I entertain as well!!!

Always looking for something fast to nibble on and ways to get the kids to try and like new foods. This fits the bill. My kids love this just as much as adults and consider it a treat. Great simple recipe!

i used reese canned artichokes (drained, cut them in half, took uncured bacon, cooked in microwave for one minute, cut the bacon in half, according to size of artichoke, wrapped and topped with a cubanelle pepper slice, then onto broiler pan for 15-20 minutes......came out excellent!

I make these appetizers for all types of get-togethers. I use maple favored bacon and make sure to drain the artichokes well ahead of time. They have come out great for me every time.

I plan to make this tonite, but rated it four stars because it sounds good. I want to address the person who says precooked bacon would be $22-$24 a pound. True, BUT if you count the amount of slices in a packaged pound of bacon and count the slices in a package of precooked, they are the same. Usually 16 per pkg. so you do away with the cooking time and most of the grease when you use the precooked and you can usually get 2 packages of precooked store brand for $5, as opposed to the cook your self @$5.00 lb.

Really great and easy appetizer. I made mine in the toaster oven, which I think helped them stay crispy. I did not find the same problems with greasiness as the other reviewers. I used Trader Joes marinated artichoke hearts and center cut bacon - followed the recipe exactly. This will be my new standard go-to recipe for quick and easy hor d'oeuvres
