I harvested butternut squash from my Dad's garden (he plants them early summer and fall. My parents were skeptical of the flavors, but once they tried the dish, it was a hit. I used the inexpensive balsamic my Mom had on hand and it made a difference in the taste. I use high quality balsamic and fresh squash which improves the dish.

This recipe is terrible. The flavors do not balance each other at all. The balsamic vinegar overpowers everything, including the naturally wonderful flavor of butternut squash.

This recipe was ok. I used a sweet balsamic, and it was still very strong, so I added a little more honey. I'd make this again, but next time I'd cut the balsamic by adding some butter and a little brown sugar and reducing the liquid in a saute pan to get it close to a glaze before mixing it in with the vegetables.

I'm removing this recipe from my box. Neither my spouse or I enjoyed the flavor of this recipe at all and it was made exact. Yuck!

Excellent! It's like not eating a vegetable!! I added some rosemary for a twist and loved it.

Unbelievably wonderful!!! Cut the butternut in french fry shape to get the kids attention. Those golden goodies are fantastic cold as a snack. Husband even stated this one is a keeper. Should have made a double batch.

Good. However, I had a lot of the mixture left over after pouring it on the squash. I saved it for a couple more batches.

Excellant and differant way to cook butternut squash, the only addition I added was to sprinkle with Kosher salt when done. My family loved it.
