I was very recently in Barcelona and stopped at a little place on La Rambla for tapas. One of the offerings was spicy potatoes, which I tried. They were quite good. This recipe very much reminded me of that, so it's a great way to relive a fabulous trip. This tastes like what I had in Barcelona, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. After our trip, I came home and did some searches for recipes that may be similar to foods I ate in Spain, and this came up. Tried it last night; we'll be having it again tonight.

I made this sauce and it was so delicious! I fry potatoes like this at home but I don't usually boil them in water first, i cut them up and fry them, which works just fine. I think it just takes a little longer. I made this sauce with ketchup instead of tomato paste because I didn't have any, and a few dashes of cayenne instead of red pepper flakes. It is a great sauce and would probably be good for other snack foods like pretzels, potato chips, and even chicken fingers. Thank you Sandra :!

Roger, you are totally right the directions are misleading. The way I do my potatoes is I cut them up put them in a pot of cold water. Bring the pot to a boil and then start timing. I haven't make this recipe so I can't rate, but it sounds good

When do you add the potatoes? According to the directions, you add the potatoes at two different times to the same pot of water. OPnce before it bolis and then after it boils. At least that's the way I read it four different times.
