This recipe looks good and judging from the ingredients I could give it 4 stars but I cannot give this a rating because I haven't tried it yet, but I can see where the confusion comes in. It was stated to use canned shrimp. Several of the comments said they use raw shrimp and that is not what the recipe called for. Bay shrimp comes in a can 8 oz. Perhaps Sandra should clarify the recipe. after looking at the ingredients, yes, you would need to add some spices to kick it up a notch. I would add a little cayenne pepper, some seasoned salt. Make sure your avacado is ripe which will have more flavor. You have to like salads to enjoy a salad. I am eager to try this and will get back to ye all.

I had 2 helpings - it was so fresh tasting. And yes, please use pre-cooked bay shrimp for this recipe - do not substitute with raw shrimp! That's crazy!

Not only was it weird. It had zero taste.

Plus, we couldn't go out for 2 days after eating the raw shrimp.

I guess some folks need everything spelled out. Bay shrimp are sold cooked. They are very small, pink and have a creamy, smooth texture. The taste is different than other shrimp.

So simple. So tasty. So good for you. And great as it's a recipe that yeilds just two. Easy to multiply it for howver many you want to serve.
Lisa, who made you the comment police? Sheesh.

I'm trying to review this again. To Deborah in GA, there's no need to yell every time you post a review and in all fairness to other reviewers I can see how they might have been confused. To anonymous from July of 2007, it's improper to refer to someone as a Chef when they're merely a cook. That not fair to those chefs on the network who have earned the title.

So tasty and so quick and easy to make. Chef Lee is a genius in my opinion.

And so good! This used to be on a lot of menus, but I haven't seen it lately. It's a nice change of pace for the summertime.

After watching the episode again yesterday I still am unclear whether the shrimp are cooked or not. Other reviewers seem confused as well. I wish it was clearer.
